Pilates
is an effective practice for reaching the deep muscles in the body, particularly around the base of the spine and the abdominals. It improves posture and balance, builds strength and flexibility, and increases breath capacity. It is also rehabilitative for the body.
Yoga therapy
is “the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga” (IAYT), I offer specific regimens of postures (asana), breathing exercises (pranayama), relaxation techniques, and a self-care routine (Ayurveda) to suit individual needs.
These practices will benefit you if you are looking to:
Seek relief from past—current injury or desire to remain injury-free.
Reduce anxiety and depression.
Improve posture, spinal mobility and increase bone density.
Enhance flexibility and improve balance.
Understand how to honor your body through the journey of prenatal & post pregnancy.
If you desire freedom and comfort within your physical body.
Create self-care practices to restore and maintain mind-body connection and overall well-being.
But above all else…
“Integrating Pilates and Yoga therapy bridges the gap between an ordinary and extraordinary experience for my students and completes the holistic approach I always envisioned for my practice.” – Lia M.
“This is the first time in a long time that I feel in my body and not in my head.”
